We’ve seen a gaggle of affordable Android phones in recent months, and many of them are not particularly easy on the eyes. An abundance of cheap, creaking plastic is often the problem, but it seems like the LG Optimus L3 could be a notable exception. Spotted on a Swedish retail site, it puts the smart into smartphone.

It’s available at a wallet-friendly pre-order price of just €145 (around £120). For that you get Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 3.2-inch screen with 240 x 320 resolution, 3-megapixel camera, FM radio and MicroSD card slot. There are no details of the processor or RAM yet. The LG Optimus L3 is available in black and white finishes.

While LG has not officially launched the handset yet, this quiet pre-order appearance should be backed up with the proper fanfare soon – expect more details on this cut-price Android blower before MWC 2012 kicks off at the end of February.
