Eldar Murtazin, a well-connected man about tech, has tweeted to say that he has a Samsung Galaxy S III in his possession. Alongside the specs, we now have a rough idea of the launch date in the UK…

Murtazin’s been on a Twitter rampage, declaring that the Samsung Galaxy SIII will be available in April, following its unveiling at Mobile World Congress next month. This is the exact same way that the Galaxy SII made it into our lives. So far, so believable.

Next some specs. Murtazin tweets: “HD resolution, 12 mpx camera, sw tweaks, android 4 – i like my new phone. Eager to see official announcement in Barcelona.”

Is this the Galaxy SIII processor?

A 12-Megapixel camera and Ice Cream Sandwich? Yep; probably. He also claims that the processor on board the Samsung Galaxy SIII is an obscenely powerful 1.5GHz quad-core number, which ties in with some of the more reasonable guestimates.

Murtazin has connections in the industry for sure, but has been wrong with mobile predictions in the past. As for actually having one in his possession? Seems a little far-fetched to us.

Did he post pictures of it? If not then he’s lying.
