The Nokia Lumia 800 now seems to be selling rather well, from what we can gather, but many not-so-happy owners have had a slew of battery complaints that Nokia’s on the warpath to fix. Now the second such battery fix has been given a rollout date.

The first battery update for the Lumia 800 was designed to fix a problem with charging, but it’s not done enough to kill the problem. Nokia addressed the wider issue in late December, assuring owners that a software update would be made available in the new year.

Now that update’s been slated for ‘within 2 weeks,’ which means that it should be available to download at some point before the 2nd of February. It should end the Lumia 800’s battery woes once and for all.

The software fix is expected around the same time as an update from Microsoft. Build 8107 of Windows Phone, which is already available on many WP7 handsets, addresses issues with the keyboard disappearing, location features and Gmail syncing.

It looks like the Sony Xperia in some ways with those right angle corners. But I like Xperia more.

There’s something Arcy about it, but the Lumia’s a much more attractive device.
