Windows Phone has a couple of serious fans among the EP team, but one of the platform’s downfalls is that not enough has been made of its Xbox heritage yet. Now a major deal with EA Mobile looks set to completely change that.
EA has apparently inked a deal with Nokia to port 20 of its biggest games to Windows Phone, and give exclusivity to the Nokia Lumia 800, 710 and the new Lumia 900 for at least the near future.

The full list of games hasn’t been revealed just yet, but the video below from the official EA channel shows some of what’s on offer, including big hitters like FIFA 12, Mirror’s Edge and the awesome Dead Space (pictured), as well as some more casual titles from Chillingo, which EA now owns.
It’s a boon for the platform’s app store, which is still a way behind both iOS and Android in terms of sheer numbers.
We don’t know how long the deal will last to pin the titles to Nokia handsets, but if its anything like the deal for FIFA 12 on the Xperia PLAY played out, it’s likely to be a few months before EA’s games filter onto other Windows Phone handsets.
