The Sony Xperia S has made its debut at CES 2012, sporting a decent array of specs and lacking the ‘Ericsson’ branding that all its phones have had up until this point. Sony were tight lipped about a release date, but Phones4U has spilled the beans…

The Sony Xperia S is a handsome Android 2.3 handset with a 4.3-inch HD LCD display and a mega 16-megapixel camera eating up most of the headline space. There’s also a front-facing 1.3-megapixel webcam and HDMI support.

How Sony phones spell trouble for Apple

It’s all backed up with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM. Storage is ample, weighing in at 32GB built in.

Phones4U has secured itself the exclusive rights to the white Sony Xperia S from March, but all variations of the Sony Xperia S will launch then as well. There’s no word on pricing yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
