What is it with all these console worthy games being released on mobile of late? First Grand Theft Auto 3, now EA’s spookfest Dead Space. To be fair, the latter is already available on iPhone and iPad (and bloomin’ marvellous to boot), but it’s still great to see it hit the Android Market too.

It’s the same frightening alone-on-a-spaceship gameplay as on iOS, and while it’ll cost you a hefty £4.50, it’s been receiving some great reviews so far. Best of all, it doesn’t appear to be too demanding on the ol’ processor: it only requires Android 2.1 and up to run, and we’ve even seen a video of it running on the sub-£100 ZTE Blade (Orange San Francisco).
