The Samsung Galaxy S2 is going to get Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) in Q1 of 2012. That’s the official word from Samsung, who’s just outed its concrete plans to brnig the operating system to almost every Galaxy device.

In the full list are the Samsung Galaxy S II, Galaxy S II LTE, Galaxy Note, Galaxy R, along with the Galaxy Tab 10.1, Galaxy Tab 8.9, Galaxy Tab 7.7, and Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus tablets.

While the Galaxy Note and the Samsung Galaxy S2 will be first in line for the update, the rest will follow soon after. Our guess would be that every other device will receive their Android Ice Cream Sandwich update around Q2 2012, but it all depends on Samsung playing nice with UK network operators.

Sammie will be releasing updated notices throughout the early days of next year to keep us informed of the progress. We’ll keep you posted.
