First up, it’s been a busy few hours in mobile. Rockstar made good on its promise and released console classic Grand Theft Auto 3 on iPhone and Android – we showed you how to grab it with one click, and took the opportunity to look back at other classic console games you can play on your mobile right now.
Online meanwhile, a couple of big new services began to roll out. We brought you first word that iTunes Match was live in the UK, although not without its kinks, while Facebook Timeline, the big new feature touted at f8 a couple of months ago, finally arrived for you – and anyone else – to trace your social networking history.
Finally, jumping back to Android, Sony Ericsson served up a slice of benevolence, by releasing an official early ROM of Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 for its Xperia phones. It’s not for everyday use yet, mind, but it’s a great, transparent approach to dealing with the vocal early adopter community.
