Tuesday it is, then. To most, the worst day of the week. But don’t let that bum you out; fill your boots with a swathe of tech news. Let our daily catch-up service wash out your soul. Or, in other words, read some of the news that you might have otherwise missed.

First off, let’s wade through the deluge of Apple news: get it done quick and Android fans will stick with us. The Apple Mac App Store posted some pretty impressive figures, while the BBC tweaked the iPlayer app for iOS to allow streaming via 3G. Then there was word that the iPad 3 release date has been set.

But in the other camp, Samsung has something up its sleeve. An 11.6-inch Android tablet with a secret weapon. Intrigued? We thought so. Google’s given the Android Market a spruce up to fight the onslaught of fragmentation.

The reluctantly-Android Amazon Kindle Fire, meanwhile, is set for a big bug fix that’ll hopefully silence its critics. Tenuous link: There’ll probably be no critics of the Nikon D4 specs, which have leaked out ahead of launch.

Lastly, we bring you word that 2012 is old news. The gaming schedule for 2013 is already filling up, including a new Command & Conquer for PC that’ll sport the stunning Frostbite 2 engine. And now you’re up to date.

Tut tut tut!… but you can use the official iPlayer mobile site too. BBC says it’ll enable 3G streaming through that in the next week or so.
