The HP Touchpad. It’s cheap, it runs the cult favourite Web OS, it can be ported to Android and sporadically comes on sale for $99 (£63). You want it? Sure you do. Good news, then; it’s going to come back on sale for a very brief period of time.

On December 11th at 6pm US Central time (12 noon in the UK), HP is going to put the HP Touchpad back on sale for that mythically low price, via its US eBay page. While you may have to pay maddening shipping costs, we’ve no reason to believe that you couldn’t try and grab one from outside the US.

WebOS is ‘winding down’

The 16GB HP Touchpads in questions won’t actually be new – they’ll be refurbished models, but you probably won’t be able to tell the difference. Besides, for £63 quid who can complain?

There’s no word from HP as to how long the sale will go on for, but what we do know is that there’ll also be an accessory pack for $79 (£50), which includes a case, charging dock and wireless keyboard. Set your wallets to: primed, and we’ll see you in the virtual queue.

one problem if you read the FAQs on HPs ebay site it states the follow:  ”Shipping and handling is limited to the United States. All orders are shipped via UPS Ground Shipping unless customers specify otherwise. Costs for shipping vary from product to product”.

So not much chance of getting one if your in the uk unless you have a friend in the US that can ship it for you.
