4-inch iPhone screens are reported to have started shipping, with both Sony and Hitachi making the beefed up screens for Apple. Sadly though, there’s no word on when, or if, these screens will land on an iPhone near you? Read on for all the details.
Talk of a 4-inch iPhone screen has been rampant ever since the first iPhone 5 rumours emerged. While the iPhone 4S failed to come loaded with such a capacious panel, it’s becoming clear that Apple is at least investigating plans for a larger screen handset.
An “Asian source” has told Macotakara that as well as this 4-inch screen, Sony and Hitachi have also shipped screens for the iPad 3. Unfortunately, it’s not clear whether these are Retina Displays are similar to the current iPad 2 screens.
