It seems RIM just can’t catch a break right now. After its BBM woes and the high profile failure of the BlackBerry PlayBook, now its bleeding edge BlackBerry 7 phones are in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Reports are emerging that devices using the latest BlackBerry OS are failing to turn after being left to charge overnight.
The BlackBerry Bold 9990 and 9930 are the devices affected by this latest niggle. Fortunately, RIM has acknowledged the problem, stating that, “… a limited number of customers have reported an issue where their device does not power on.”
The BlackBerry maker says it’s looking into a software fix, but it’ll need to roll something out sharpish in order to appease customers who’ve only had these handsets for a matter of months.
Has your BlackBerry Bold been affected by this sleep issue? Or is it working just fine? Let us know down below in the comments.
