Panasonic has ripped the covers off of its much-rumoured Lumix GX-1 Micro Four Thirds camera this morning. And the new top-end peeper promises to pack a string of professional features that are bound to get camera fanatics salivating. Want to know just what Panny’s got planned? Read on for all the details.
Rocking a stunning, DSLR-like design, the Panasonic Lumix GX1 is chock full of stunning specs. There’s a 0.09 second autofocus function for ensuring you can reel off shots in record time, while a 16 megapixel sensor and ISO that can be amped up to 12,800 means snaps should look great whatever the conditions you take them in.
There’s a full touchscreen slapped on the back, letting you blur or focus the background with a prod. On top of that, you get full 1080 HD video recording, making this a more than capable all rounder.
We’re not going to lie though. The Panasonic Lumix GX1 is going to destroy your wallet. We’re talking £499 for the body only and £599 with a standard lens. That price jumps to £729 when you pick it up with Panny’s new 14-42 pancake-size zoom lens. The latter isn’t available until the new year, with the cheaper options up for grabs from mid-December.
