Canon used a special Hollywood event to unveil a new cinema-focused camera yesterday, the EOS C300. But while movie buffs salivated over that hulking slab of kit, it was the brief flash of a new pro DSLR that really got us het up. Want to know just what Canon’s got planned? This new Canon DSLR is yet to be slapped with a name, although it appears to be in the same C range as the new EOS C300. It can shoot 4K video at 24FPS, making this undoubtedly the hottest DSLR for video ever.
Sadly, that’s all Canon was willing to reveal about what’s kicking it under the hood of its new snapper. But pics of the peeper show that it’ll be a full-on, hulking effort when it does finally hit shelves, some time in 2012.
