Sony’s PlayStation Home service is about to get a major overhaul, with the new look virtual world rolling out to PS3s from today. The new-look service is loaded with new games and community events, designed to entice stacks of new gamers. Read on for all the details of just what Sony has in store.
New games are at the front and centre of PlayStation Home, including Bootleggers ‘29, an FPS set during the prohibition era, a slightly more relaxed PlayStation Home Hold ‘Em for poker fans, as well as a sports trivia game and, best of all, an RC Rally game for remote control car fanatics.
There are also redesigned PlayStation Home districts, with an Adventure District hosting exclusive Uncharted 3 events, a mall for buying exclusive game content and an Action District, built from the ground up for hardcore gamers to come, gather and take pot shots at each other.
Sony reckons the new PlayStation Home will help bring back those gamers who’ve left the virtual world for fear that it had lost its way. What do you think? Will you be using Sony’s amped up new virtual home? Or will you be sticking to playing games instead? Tell us down below in the comments.
