If there was any doubt that the first Nokia Windows Phone handset will be arriving at Nokia World in London this week, it’s now gone. Over the weekend, Nokia took to the airwaves to tease its new device, rumoured to be called the Nokia 800, live on TV.
We already had a good idea that the first new Nokia Windows Phone would be similar to the beautiful Nokia N9 (Nokia boss Stephen Elop showed it off in a leaked presentation earlier this year), and these teaser ads, aired on ITV on Saturday night, seem to confirm it. While there are no full shots of the device, the corners and unibody build look just like the N9 – and the press shots of the supposed Nokia 800, leaked online last week.
Nokia World, the company’s huge press and developer conference, takes place on Wednesday and Thursday at the Excel Centre in London’s docklands, so we’re expecting more Windows Phone details then, if not before. Needless to say, we’ll be there live.
What do you think of the first Nokia Windows Phone? Are you hoping to see the new Nokia 800 on Wednesday? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
