No, really. Nokia’s been running a competition to create a new version of the Nokia Tune. That iconic ringtone that got you into trouble during class in the 1990s is back. It’s reborn. It’s dubstep. Listen to it after the jump.
Created by an Italian DJ, Sizzi Top, it’s likely to offend those with less than contemporary tastes, but take a listen below.
DJ Sizzi Top, real name Valerio Alessandro Sizzi, created the 24 second ringtone which will now be loaded onto more than 100 million handsets, shipping all over the world. He even won a prize, scooping $10,000.
“I never expected my version to be so popular and to be highly rated by Nokia, but hey! Nice surprise.” says Valerio, 22 from “just outside Milan.”
