Got a Nintendo 3DS? Then you’ll want to un-boggle those eyes, sit up straight and pay attention: Nintendo boss Satoru Iwata has popped up on stage at a Nintendo party just before the Tokyo Game Show to announce impending software updates for your three-dimensional console. What’s in store? Details after the jump.

According to Engadget, Nintendo is planning 3D video capture and an updated Street Pass Mii Plaza, as well as a re-jigged eShop to let you download digital wares to the 3DS’s memory card.

The bad news? Nintendo held off announcing any new DS hardware. In the meantime, it’s made that add-on 3DS joystick official for Japan. It goes on sale on December 10th, costing ¥1500, or around £12.
