The internet, or rather the corner of it dedicated to Apple speculation, has gone gaga this afternoon as MacRumours reveals a white headphone jack, snaffled from Chinese repair site Luna Commerce. It seems to add more weight to the rumours of a white iPod touch coming out of Cupertino soon. But could it also pave the way for a white MacBook Air?
Call us crazy, but ever since Apple ditched the white plastic MacBook back in July, the company’s laptop line-up has looked decidedly drab. It’s all aluminium, and not much more. Now, we know from the iPod nano that Apple has no problem giving that aluminium a lick of paint. Wouldn’t it be nice to tout a stereotypically white Apple laptop once more?
While some speculatory posts are claiming the curved edge of this headphone jack makes it a dead cert for the iPod touch, we’d also highlight that the MacBook Air has a curved underside, and while it doesn’t currently boast a chiseled headphone socket… hey, we can dream, can’t we?
