Remember when the Dell Streak 5-inch tablet/phone was announced. Oh how everyone laughed. Look how big it is! Look how silly it looks on your face! It seems Dell was merely ahead of the curve however: check out the HTC Titan. At a huge 4.7-inches, it’s HTC’s biggest smartphone ever, as well as the biggest mobile running Microsoft software ever made.
Microsoft doesn’t let manufacturers tinker a great deal with Windows Phone, so expect the regular Mango update and features you’ll see on plenty of other phones, including the HTC Radar and Nokia’s upcoming debut on the platform.
Where the HTC Titan breaks from the norm however, is in its sheer size: at 4.7-inches, it dwarfs even the HTC Sensation, though disappointingly, it actually uses a lower screen resolution (800×480 rather than 960×540).
Inside, a scorching 1.5GHz processor keeps thing swooshing along, while an 8MP camera on the back also allows you to record 720P HD video – and you’ve got 16GB of internal storage to keep to all on.
Interestingly, HTC is including one new feature: DLNA media streaming to your TV, something that was only available on LG’s Windows Phone, the Optimus 7, until now. We’ll let you know how that works out when we get hands on with the device. in the meantime, tell us what you think of the size right here in the comments: too big, too small or just right?
