HP Pre 3 lands tomorrow for £360 to complete webOS trilogyThe HP TouchPad and HP Veer will add a third amigo tomorrow. Clove is reported that the HP Pre 3 is due to be in stock. Priced at £360 including VAT, the webOS flagship is the perfect pairing to help your TouchPad realize its full potential. ‘Touch To Share’ begins tomorrow.

It’s been a long six months, but webOS fans can now celebrate. Contrary to previous reports which suggested a price increase, the Pre 3 retains its original price of £300 (£360 inc. VAT). A reasonable fee for a 1.4 GHz processor, 3.6-inch touchscreen and the latest build of webOS don’t you think?

If you haven’t been able to install Mac OS X Lion from the Mac App Store, Apple has now added the Mac OS X Lion USB thumb drive to its online store.

You’ll pay a penalty for not having high speed broaband or a bricks and mortar Apple Store to grab the download at though. The Mac OS X Lion USB thumb drive costs £55, a cool £34 more than the software will set you back in the Mac App Store.

The Nintendo 3DS has been having a tough time recently and a quick look at the Tesco Direct website will only make Nintendo execs more nervous. Following Nintendo’s announcement of the 3DS price cut, Tesco slashed £80 off the price of the 3D handheld bringing it to £115.

But there’s more bad news for Nintendo lurking in the virtual aisles. Tesco’s Nintendo 3DS price cutting puts the newest model at almost exactly the same price as the ageing Nintendo DSi XL. In fact, the older handheld, which launched in the UK back in March 2010, will set you back 20p more at £115.20.

It can’t be a good sign that an older generation of Nintendo hardware is actually selling for more than Nintendo 3DS. What do you think? Click the headline and head for the comments.

The mobilisation of Minecraft has begun! Mojang has released its Android app, Minecraft Pocket Edition, into the Android Market today. The title is initially a Sony Ericsson Xperia Play exclusive but will be available to other Android devices soon. While the principle of the game is the same as the desktop version, Minecraft Pocket Edition is designed to be a little more laid back.

Minecraft Pocket Edition features randomised worlds and a selection of 36 types of block to build your creations with. There’s also multiplayer via Wi-Fi so you can collaborate with friends on Minecraft worlds then save the result to your own phone. Unlike Minecraft on the desktop there’s no nightly raids by monsters to interrupt your building.

All that talk of an iPad 3 launch this year may come to nothing. The latest murmurings from the supply chain claim Apple has cancelled orders for the iPad 3 in the second half of 2011 because suppliers simply can’t make enough high-resolution displays to satisfy its demand. That suggests the iPad 3 will not be seen until 2012.

The claims come from DigiTimes which says both Samsung and LG Display have both been unable to reach adequate production levels. Just last month the CEO of LG Display seemed to suggest its high-resolution screen technology with quadruple the pixels found in the current iPad 2 display is destined for the iPad 3.

While it would be remiss of us not to tell you what the Taiwanese tipsters are whispering about, it’s worth noting that this iPad 3 rumour simply contradicts a set of previous rumours. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: the iPad 3 can’t be delayed when Apple hasn’t announced it yet.
