Behold the HP TouchPad running Android! Last week we heard about TouchDroid, a project by to bring Android to the HP TouchPad, and even saw an Android Froyo HP TouchPad listed on eBay but Cyanogen has delivered the first video of the webOS hardware running Google’s OS.

The HP TouchPad in the video is running the Cyanogenmod 7 of Android Gingerbread 2.3.5 and the port is in very early alpha stages. Cyanogen says its working on a touch bug right now and aims to “create a ‘multi-boot’ solution where the end user will be able to boot into webOS, Cyanogenmod and/or other OSes”. The group says it’ll be “a long while” before it can release the HP TouchPad Android port to the masses but you can see it’s early efforts after the jump…

why would you want to use an inferior operating system with less tablet specific apps on the TouchPad. webOS is far better and has just received document editing with Quick Office HD (last night).
