It’s about time. After suffering more delays than a flight out Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, the Droid Bionic will be “in your hands” on September 8th. Motorola confirmed the release date on its official @DroidBionic Twitter account.
Children have been conceived and then born in less time than it’s taken Motorola to launch the Droid Bionic. In the months following CES 2011, the competition amongst Android handsets has grown fierce. It’s hard to imagine a strong demand for the Bionic considering we’re moments away from Nexus Prime and Galaxy S II 4G LTE.
All joking aside, the Droid Bionic will still enter the market as a top-tier Android smartphone. We still believe it will ship with Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread, a 1 GHz OMAP4430 processor, VGA front-facing camera, 8-megapixel rear camera, HDMI-out and a 4.3-inch qHD display (240 dpi). With the right price, it will undoubtedly find its way into the hands of plenty of Android fans
