Nikon-COOLPIX-S6150

Not content to let Sony hog the limelight with the Sony NEX-7 and Sony NEX-5N, Nikon has revealed an avalanche of new Coolpix cameras today. Heading up the pack is the 10.1MP Nikon Coolpix P7100, the successor to the Nikon Coolpix P7000, which follows its predecessor’s example by packing serious specs into a compact package.

It’s joined by the Nikon Coolpix S6200 and Nikon Coolpix S8200, a pair of 16MP superzoom snappers, the skinny 14MP Nikon Coolpix S4150 and the punchy 16MP Nikon Coolpix S6150. We’ve corralled all the specs for this cavalcade of Coolpix compacts after the break…

It comes with a range of special effects for stills which can deliver ISO of up to 12,800. There’s also built-in HDMI connector and support for an external microphone.
