A joint venture between Three UK and LiveWire Mobile has resulted in the relaunch of the carrier’s mobile Games Store. The browser-based portal now includes a series of Android games and applications which it hopes will “attract everyone from casual gamers to hardcore enthusiasts”. The refresh also includes social media integration and a dedicated HD games section.
The decision to partner with LiveWire Mobile was a lengthy process. In the end, the decision came down to the company’s “proven track record of user experience design and the successful retailing of mobile entertainment products for Three and other operators around the world.” Now for a little bit more insight into the updated Games Store.
The social media integration will not be limited to achievement sharing, it will also allow gamers to compete head-to-head. Initially, the Game Store will be a browser-based solution, but a dedicated Android app with carrier billing support will follow. Three also confirmed that it will support content “across a number of mobile phone operating systems”.
