They say it’s hard out here for a pimp and apparently that also includes the Nintendo 3DS. Following last week’s price cuts, the 3D portable console has only seen one title jump into the top 40. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D saw a 60 percent rise in sales compared to last week, driving the game from number 39 to 13 in the charts. Meanwhile Zumba Fitness for Xbox 360 Kinect remains in the pole position for its 12th week.
When the Nintendo 3DS dropped to £115 on Friday we expected to have a feeding frenzy on our hands. According to the top 40 best-selling games chart, that was not the case — at least not for 3DS gaming titles. Following behind Zumba Fitness was LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean, Cars 2, Dirt 3, FIFA 11, LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4, Just Dance: Extra Songs, Call of Juarez: The Cartel, The Sims 3 and L.A. Noire.
Now we have to ask — did you pick up a 3DS this weekend following the price cuts? If so, which titles came bundled or did you buy with the console? Sound off in the comments section below.
