There’ll be some frowning faces over at Facebook today. In an entirely unshocking move, Google has announced Google+ Games and it’s got big names on board already. Rovio announced Angry Birds Facebook earlier this year but the game has yet to flock there. Just like those pesky pigs with the eggs, Google’s grabbed it first.
Angry Birds has landed on Google+ alongside titles from PopCap (Bejeweled Blitz), Zynga (Zynga Poker) and BioWare (Dragon Age Legends). Read on for full details on the long-awaited Google games service…
Google’s Vic Gundotra, explained how Google+ Games will work on the Official Google Blog:
“You can see the latest game updates from your circles, browse invites you’ve received and check out games that people you know have played recently. The Games page is also where your game accomplishments will appear, so you can comfortably share your latest high score – your circles will only see updates when they’re interested in playing games too.”
The Google+ Games page is currently being rolled out across the network so you should see it soon. Keeping updates hidden unless you’re interested in games will definitely be a welcome feature for anyone who’s had their Facebook news feed deluged by Mafia Wars updates.
