Sony has gone all official with its Android Honeycomb tablet line up. The clamshell S2 is now the Tablet P and the wedge-style S1 is the Table S. Odd names, we know, but now that we have an official announcement we can finally lay the rumors and speculation to rest. Let’s dive in, shall we?

It’s time retire the Xperia Arc my friends and pave way for the faster, 3D-friendly Xperia Arc S coming to you later this year. S, as the name implies, stands for speed. The Arc S is powered by a blistering-fast 1.4 GHz processor which delivers 20 percent faster web page rendering and 25 percent faster camera start up and media conversion compared to its predecessor.
The Arc S packs an 8.1-megapixel camera with Exmor R for mobile image sensor capable of 3D and 2D sweep panorama photography. A 4.2-inch Reality display with Mobile Bravia engine let’s you share your HD video at its finest. In addition to the blockbuster specs, the Xperia Arc S is also compatible with “Music Unlimited” and “Video Unlimited”, barring availability of course.

At IFA 2011 this morning, Samsung unveiled its new Series 7 Chronos laptop. Powered by an Intel i7 quad-core processor, this 15-inch laptop touts an ultra-slim bezel which accommodates a 15.6-inch display. The aluminum body, black chiclet keys and over-sized trackpad look awfully familiar; thankfully these similarities are only skin deep.

That’s right, as if 4.5-inches wasn’t enough, the upcoming HTC Runnymede, as first discovered by PocketNow, will sport an enormous display which blurs the line between smartphone and tablet. Remember the alleged MacBook Pro prototype sporting a slide-out antenna and SIM card slot? Well, apparently after Apple canceled the bidding on the eBay auction, an auction which topped $70,000, the man in possession of the laptop, Carl Frega, decided to keep it rather than resell it. Today, Frega claims Apple contacted him to send someone to his house to pick it up.
The rumors have panned out. HTC’s first 10.1-inch tablet, which also happens to be AT&T’s first 4G LTE/HSPA+ tablet, will arrive in company-owned retails stores starting September 4. The HTC Jetstream runs Android 3.1 Honeycomb and packs a dual-core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon processor. HTC Scribe support is also confirmed so be prepared to doodle with the optional digital pen.
Other highlights to the HTC Jetstream include 1080p playback and capture, Adobe Flash Player, HTC Sense UX for tablets, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing and 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with dual LED flash, microSD card slot and a massive 7,300 mAh battery. Dimensions-wise the Jetstream is 7-inches long, 9.87 inches wide and .51 inches deep, and weighs 25 ounes.
As IFA kicks off in Berlin, a million and one accessory hawkers have descended on our inbox.
