Minecraft is digging its way onto Xbox 360 later this year along with the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play though the game’s creator, Markus “Notch” Persson is being rather less forthcoming about what the game will entail than he has been about past updates. That’s down to the Xbox 360 version actually getting some marketing budget behind it but the indie developer has still revealed some of his hopes for Minecraft’s console conversion.

Another day, another rumour about when we can expect Mac OS X Lion and the much-touted new MacBook Air to be revealed. While Apple has confirmed that it will unleash the new OS this month, it has kept schtum about precisely when it’ll be uncaged. Last week saw several false Lion alarms and no sign of the new hardware.

Now new reports are claiming that we’ll see Mac OS X Lion and the new MacBook Air tomorrow. Once again the rumours are pegged on chatter that Apple Store employees will be prepping stores for the launch overnight. Apple has it quarterly earnings call later today which could make Wednesday an ideal time to release new products but we’d still say don’t hold your breath just yet.

Bad news for RIM: a furious rant from a loyal BlackBerry fan complaining about the company’s ‘demise’ has gone viral.

The unidentified Torch-owner [Ah, that explains it - Ed] blasts RIM with a barrage of criticisms, claiming: ‘l have been lied to and feel abandoned. You have failed as a service and manufacturing company… I would have been better off burning the cash in a money pit.’

Mad as hell, the disgruntled customer implores RIM to ‘listen to your employees, fix your management structure and return to being the industry leader and revolutionary company you once were’, before ‘Google buys you, rips you apart and turns you into their hardware division!’

The chances are, if you own a smartphone, you’ve probably heard of Gameloft. The game developer has carved out quite the niche for itself in the burgeoning app space, selling flagrant rip offs (though often rather addictive ones) of hit console games. You know the drill: Nova instead of Halo, Modern Combat instead of Modern Warfare.

And those games might seem like a bargain, at just a few quid a pop. But if new allegations are true, they cost a lot more in blood, sweat and tears of over-worked developers.
