Though Mac OS X Lion didn’t launch this week as many, including us, had speculated, the first apps with support for the new OS have started to appear in the Mac App Store. Apple put out its call for Mac OS X Lion apps at the beginning of this week.

OS X Daily News discovered popular Mac word game, WordCrasher, had been updated to add Mac OS X Lion-only features including fullscreen mode, Resume and Versions. MacStories also spotted a clutch of other apps hitting the store with new Mac OS X Lion friendly builds.
