There’s a new Sony micro hi-fi system in town, and it’s packing AirPlay along with its classic styling. It’s the latest in a long line of AirPlay-capable systems, so read on for a full rundown of our top five.
It may look like the kind of old analogue stereo your dad would spin Steely Dan on, but the CMT-G2BNiP has some 21st century tech inside. Namely AirPlay, which lets you stream tunes from your iPod, iPhone, iPad or iTunes, straight to the system. It’ll even show info on the display, such as artist, track name and album.
It’s an aluminium system with piano black speakers, and minimises amplifier distortion using geometric grounding tech, so sound will be top quality. You can connect your iThing via USB, and it has DAB too, for a spot of 6Music when you tire of your own playlists.
And if you want a slightly cheaper (we imagine, pricing is TBC) version, the CMT-G1BiP comes without AirPlay, so there’s something for everyone.
