Apple’s WWDC 2011 keynote is going down right now, and first up is a demo of how the next version of OS X, Lion, will bring more fluid, touchscreen-style controls to your desktop.
Apple’s Craig Federighi demonstrated how mission control integrates with more advanced pinch to zoom gestures. You can now intelligently and fluidly zoom with two fingers in Safari and other apps, and in Apple’s browser, even swipe page by page through your internet history.
We’ve waited a long time for this. We’ve already had a go on multiplayer, now it was time to see more, with a first glimpse of the campaign mode.
Console-based entertainment has moved into the future. With Kinect gamers will soon be able to play games, watch movies, listen to music and share with friends using just their voice. No controls needed.
BioWare have just confirmed that Mass Effect 3 will feature Microsoft Kinect support, and voice control. “It’s unlike anything else out there” says BioWare.
