Update: all three are officially headed for the UK! Though the E-P3 is still the only one priced so far.
Camera giant Olympus has lifted the lid on no fewer than three new micro four thirds cameras, giving you SLR results in a compact size. And one has the fastest autofocus of any interchangeable lens camera, so you’ll never miss that amazing shot again.
So which will you be wielding come your summer hols? Read on to find which is for you.
Micro four thirds cameras give you all the benefits of an interchangeable lens snapper, with none of the bulk. So we’re stoked Olympus has not one but three new models on show, continuing its stellar PEN line.
The PEN E-P3, PEN E-PL3 and PEN E-PM1 are all 12.3-megapixel models with Live MOS sensors, TruePic VI image processors, and a top ISO of 12,800. 1080i HD video mode comes as standard, as does a selection of Art filters, for getting creative with your effects. The E-P3 claims to have the fastest autofocus of any interchangeable lens camera. Available in August, it’ll set you back £799.
So what of the other two? Well the E-PL3 has a 3-inch tilting LCD, while the E-PM3 is the smallest and lightest PEN to date, and comes in six colours. They all look suitably stylish, too, continuing the PEN’s tradition.
Only the E-P3 has been officially announced for the UK, we’re waiting to hear back on the other two.
