UK Android fans – get your wallets ready and prepare for a trip to the shops. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has an official release date. Find out when you can get your hands on this brilliant slice of Honeycomb, after the jump.
We were very impressed with our early look at the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Samsung has managed to correct many of the niggles that made the original Galaxy Tab so frustrating and the result is a polished, Honeycomb Android tablet that is a real contender.
If you want to get your hands on one in the UK you won’t have too long to wait. Samsung plan to release the Galaxy Tab 10.1 here on the 4th of August.
The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is more ‘iPad-shaped’ that the 7-inch Galaxy Tab and features a 1280×800 WXGA display capable of playing back 1080p Full HD movies and some of the crispest, sharpest Angry Birds imaginable.
The tablet comes in 3G and Wi-Fi only versions although no pricing or contract info has been announced as yet. You will also be able to choose from 16GB,32GB and 64GB capacities – enough for a whole holiday’s worth of HD movies.
