Apple has unveiled the latest free iTunes Festival London app in time for the 31-day feast of music which kicks off at the Roundhouse on July 1.

If you’re far from the capital, the app is great news as it’ll bring free live streaming from all the performances. Read on for full details on the iTunes Festival and how the app will get you into the gigs wherever you are…

62 bands will play the Roundhouse across the month including Coldplay, Kasabian, Mogwai, Paul Simon, the Manic Street Preachers, Arctic Monkeys and Duran Duran. You can see the full lineup here.

Apple sells iTunes albums of all its iTunes Live performances including ones from previous years but the iTunes Festival London app will give you access to those performances after the gigs as well as during them. Apple hasn’t revealed how long that footage will be available though.

As well as streaming the shows, the iTunes Festival London app includes the schedule, details on each of the artists and a photo archive from iTunes Festivals stretching back to 2007.

The best feature though is the inclusion of AirPlay support which means you’ll be able to watch the shows on your TV if you’re rocking an Apple TV. A free, month-long festival in your living room? Result!
