Those Sony Android tablets that broke cover back in April have got themselves a release date.
A private note from Sony’s marketing group has been leaked and it reveals that the Sony S1 (the traditional looking tablet with a curved back) and Sony S2 (the crazy clamshell) are hitting the UK in September with pre-orders opening in August…
Sony Direct, John Lewis and an as-yet-unconfirmed retailer will stock the Sony Android tablets at launch. Specs on both are still thin on the ground though.
The only real details are that the Sony S2 will have two 5.5in 1024×480 resolution displays and both models will pack a Tegra 2 processor. Rest assured we’re hunting for more info.
