We’ve seen plenty of Kinect hacks using Windows machines, unofficial Kinect Windows 7 drivers and even a Kinect Mac interface for Apple-loving modders to mess around.
Now it seems Microsoft is ready to pull the covers off an official Kinect Windows SDK…
It’s expected to out the covers on the developer tools for bringing Kinect motion control to Windows apps at a live event tonight. It’s being broadcast on the Channel 9 website and kicks off at 5pm. At CES 2011, Steve Ballmer said Kinect for Windows would come “in the right time”. It looks like that time is now.
