With E3 and WWDC ongoing, we’ve got all sorts of gaming and Apple news for you – all that and more besides is rounded up for you here in our lunchtime lowdown newsflash, so read on for the latest!

First up, let’s talk games. At E3, the world’s biggest games expo, we got an in-depth look at Forza 4 and how the game is made – even how the individual sound effects are recorded. Sony meanwhile outed the official name and price for the PSP 2: it’s the PlayStation Vita, and it looks mighty impressive indeed.

Over on the Apple side of things, the fallout from the big WWDC keynote yesterday continued. It appears networks were left out of the loop when it came to Apple’s iMessage service in iOS 5, and we looked at how the new mobile operating system can crush rival app developers – and BlackBerry too.
