At E3 2011 Nintendo president Satoru Iwata invited EA boss John Riccitiello to talk up the relationship between Nintendo and EA and how their new console, when it finally arrives in stores, will change the way we play games using its innovative new controller. Battlefield 3 on a Nintendo console? It’s going to happen.
“Imagine a shooter like battlefield brought to you on a Nintendo system”, the EA boss said. Any doubts that Nintendo’s new console won’t cater to the hardcore have already been erased. In terms of what this means for Nintendo new console, to release next year, it means Nintendo should be able to compete on level terms with both Sony and Nintendo.
