UPDATE: OS X Lion will cost £20.99 in the UK, we’ve confirmed.
Apple VP Phil Schiller just confirmed that OS X Lion will be launching in July. It’s a 4GB download and will only be available through the Mac App Store – so for machines capable of running the current Mac software, Snow Leopard. Schiller said that it will cost $29.99 (£18.30), and will come under the typical multiple machine license used on the store.
Not bad eh? And to make like easier for Microsofties, OS X Lion also features a new Windows Migration Assistant. We don’t have any details on what will be ported over, but it’s a start right? We’re hoping we’ll see easy moving of My Documents, Outlook contacts, calendar and more.
