Apple has already told us what we’ll be getting at WWDC with most reports focusing on the outing of iCloud. But it looks like the iOS 5 announcement will also include some major changes and Twitter integration is topping the list.

Techcrunch reports that Twitter will launch its own photo sharing service in time for Apple to reveal integration with iOS 5 but John Gruber at Daring Fireball has gone further, implying that we’ll see Twitter baked into the next iOS update in multiple ways…

The Techcrunch report claims that multiple sources have told it that “Apple’s new iOS 5 will come with an option to share images to Twitter baked into the OS. This would be similar to the way you can currently share videos to YouTube with one click.” That sounds perfectly plausible but it’s hardly that exciting.

Gruber predicts that the Apple/Twitter tie up will be more ambitious. Rather than being restricted to photo sharing, he suggests far deeper level integration: “Imagine what else the system could provide if your Twitter account was a system-level service.”

We can – if Twitter sharing was added at a system level, you could see some nifty features like the ability to switch between texts and tweets in the Messages app and share links to Twitter directly from Safari.

As usual, Apple is keeping schtum but we’ve only got to wait until Monday to find out what goodies it’s got in store for us with iOS 5. In the meantime, hit the comments and let us know whether Twitter integration would matter to you.
