Jaguar’s awesome C-X75 concept car is coming to the roads, so look out for it in your local Tesco car park. Which got us thinking (ok, fantasizing) about which other futuristic cars we’d like to see put into production so we could take them for a spin. And so we present our concept car top trumps – print off the page, cut them out and give it a game. Because sadly, it’s the closest any of us are going to get to driving them. Though considering the C-X75 is going to cost £700,000, chances are even if most of them were real we still couldn’t have them in our garage. Well, we can dream.

Google looks set to turn fairy godmother to Modu, the modular phone maker, which has been shutdown by debts. Reports suggest Google plans to pick up its patent portfolio for around $4.8m and help Modu founder Dov Moran out of the hole. With the Android Hardware devision up and running and going great guns with former Danger masterminds in charge, the move looks very interesting.

Could Google be planning to put those Modu modular patents to work in aid of the Android Open Accessory effort? It would make a lot of sense. That said, in the incredibly litigious world of mobile patents, Google could just be adding to its stash in case of future legal battles. Modu was delightfully mad though and we’d love to see some of its eccentric DNA transferred to Android devices.

First, Rockstar blamed PS3 Firmware 3.61 then Sony blamed LA Noire. Now the pair have got together to put out a joint statement that says it’s neither LA Noire nor the PS3 firmware update behind the issue. Hmmm…

If Apple outs an iTunes streaming, a recently published patent application may just reveal how it’s going to work. Rather than simply asking to fling your files up into the cloud and expecting you to wait for songs to buffer, the iTunes snapshot in the patent application shows an option to “Sync partial music”.

The ‘iCloud‘ system would store a snippet of the song on your local device and then be synced with the complete version in the crowd meaning you could start playing songs immediately without waiting. Read on for more details…
