The iPhone 5 could arrive in early August if the latest rumour to hit the web is right. Macotakara, which previously correctly predicted details of the iPad 2 ahead of launch, claims a loose-lipped source has told it that the iPhone 5 will arrive with an 8MP camera and that SIM-free design that goes even further than the smaller iPhone SIM we saw predicted a couple of weeks back…
The Macotakara report claims the iPhone 5 will pack an ARM Cortex-A9 processor and a new 8MP rear camera but will arrive with the same looks as the iPhone 4. A flurry of rumours do suggest, however, that the iPhone 5 will also sport a reconfigured camera flash to cut down on red eye.
While Macotakara has guessed right on Apple rumours in the past, there’s nothing much new in its iPhone 5 claims besides that bold prediction that we’ll see it in August.
A better camera is inevitable, as is an improved processor but whether we’ll see Apple pushing out a tweaked design (essentially an iPhone 4S) is one of the many mysteries around the iPhone 5. Hopefully, Apple will fill us all in at WWDC.
Tell us: what features should Apple definitely include in the iPhone 5?
