If the chatter is true that means Apple is close to locking the down all four of the world’s biggest labels and ensuring its offering has the backing of the music industry.

The Amazon Cloud Player and Google Music are taking a more rebellious route, telling the music industry bigwigs that flinging music into the cloud is no different to local storage.

If the tales of licensing success are true, we’d expect to see Apple to pull the covers off the iTunes cloud service at WWDC next month.
