BREAKING: Take this with a huge pinch of salt but a video purporting to show an internal Nintendo demonstration of its Wii HD/ Project Cafe console has appeared on YouTube. You can’t see much up close, but as well as slides detailing the high def box, you can make out a live prototype in the corner of the screen. Read on to see it!
As you can see, this shaky video doesn’t reveal much, but the Project Cafe device, if authentic, does appear to draw from Wii design aesthetic, with a sloped corner, though possibly a grey sahe reminiscent of the SNES and Nintendo 64 from the 1990s.
The slide also details the purpoted gamepad, which is rumoured to feature a large touchscreen. Judging from this video, it almost seems too large: it seems to indicate it measures a full 6-inches across, which is surely to big to hold comfortably. We’ll see when Nintendo unveils Project cafe at E3 next month, if not before.
