Blizzard Entertainment has done us a solid this afternoon, confirming a public Diablo III beta launch for the third quarter of 2011. A release date is still out of the question, but CEO Mike Morhaime has confirmed “company-wide testing” began last week in a recent investor call.
The money-making machine known as Blizzard Entertainment is preparing to launch the third installment in the Diablo franchise, Diablo III. Details surrounding the game are scarce and up until today, a public beta launch was seriously in doubt. The speculation proved accurate with today’s announcement, but when will we actually see Diablo III hit retail shelves (or downloads)?
