BREAKING: Google’s just announced the next big Android update for mobiles, Ice Cream Sandwich. As interesting as the tasty looking logo is, what’s got us most excited is that Google says it’s meant for everything: phones, tablet, laptops and more.
Included in the Android Ice Cream Sandwich update will be a new “holographic” homescreen akin to that seen on Andorid Honeycomb for tablets, as well as improved widgets.
Google is stressing that the OS is open source, after causing a controversy by witholding the code for Android 3.0 tablet software to all but its select partners.
