The invite features absolutely no details besides the date, location and a tease saying: “We wish we could tell you the details now but that wouldn’t be any fun.” The timing and location make it highly likely that Samsung, which has been on the list of Google Chrome OS hardware partners since it broke cover, will finally out it’s Chrome OS netbook.

The question is: in a world of compelling Android Honeycomb tablets, the BlackBerry PlayBook and iPad 2, do you still care?

    I think A lot of us, as part of the geek mob, underestimate the potential of chrome os. It’s sounding like the perfect grand mum computer.

    You don’t have to think about the OS, security updates, etc, you just use it

    As long as it’s significantly more powerful than my old dell netbook and marketed well it’s going to sell.
