Apple has promised an iPhone location tracking fix and it looks like it’ll arrive imminently. A new rumour suggests iOS 4.3.3 will drop in the next few weeks with the fix baked into the mix. According to Boy Genius Report, iOS 4.3.3 will make the following changes:
- iTunes will no longer back up the location database (so that clever iPhone Tracker app will no longer work)
- The location database size will be reduced
- The iPhone/iPad 3G will delete the location database when Location Services are switched off.
The iOS 4.3.3 update will also apparently deliver improved battery life and fix some iPod touch bugs. We’ll be keeping a close eye on Apple and will let you know as soon as iOS 4.3.3 arrives. Hit the comments below to let us know what other changes you’d like to see made to iOS.
