inq-cloud-touch-review

The INQ Cloud Touch is the British phone maker’s first, long awaited foray into Android. All this time, it’s been working hand in hand with Facebook to craft a software skin that puts your social networking buddies at the fore – and by and large, it’s pulled it off.

The INQ Cloud Touch is an ace Facebook phone (if not the definitive article), and one filled with clever touches that make it all the more human. Should you settle for the screen though? Is it worth holding out for the HTC ChaCha instead? Let’s take a look.

The royal wedding on Friday may be set to be drizzly with a chance of yet more rain, but that’s not stopping people from all over the country prepping to make their way to Westminster to see Kate Middleton become Princess Kate. mxData, whose well rated London Tube Map app is available on iPhone, Android, Nokia and BlackBerry phones, is reporting both a fifteen percent surge in downloads ahead of Friday, as well as an increase in downloads outside of the capital – suggesting more tourists than usual are planning their movements in advance.

The upshot? Central London is going to be rather crowded on Friday morning. Might be best to bring one of those old fashioned paper maps just in case signal crumples because of it.

Leica-i9-iPhone

If you love Leica and your iPhone 4, this is a dream concept. Black Design Associates created the Leica i9 design which would allow you to slot your iPhone 4 into a fixed-lens rangefinder. Docking the phone would activate the compact optical zoom, dedicated aperture and shutter dials, flash and light meter. The iPhone 4 would act as the screen to view your images with the camera back acting as a case for the phone.

It’s a beautiful idea but we’re not going to get ahead of ourselves. Leica is not likely to be making this any time soon sadly.
